Siblings - September 2017

Joining up with The Siblings Project with these photos of Miss A and Master R. I didn't think I'd managed to get that many pictures of the two of them together this month, but I was wrong!

The most significant event this month has been Miss A starting school! These photos were taken on her first morning. How smart does she look in her uniform!?! I love Master R's face peering at her, taking in this new grown up sister! She's settling in so well and we're so proud of her. It's a bit of an emotional rollercoaster but it's still really early days and she always comes out at the end of the day with a big smile on her face. I'm enjoying some one-on-one time with Master R. He's not really missing his sister too much now she's at school. I think because he now gets to play with all her toys when she's not around (Sshhh! Don't tell her as I try to put them back where we found them!).

The weekend before Miss A started school, we booked a very last-minute weekend away to a caravan park in Rhyl. It was just what we all needed and we had so much fun. Luckily we had one good day of weather so we spent a long time on the beach and it was such fun seeing the kids splashing about together in the sea.

It already feels like the sunny days are behind us but this picture was taken out in the garden on one of the odd hot days we had. It's safe to say that Master R is now copying his sister's antics. You can see him watching her closely and then he'll be trying to do it himself. He's always watched his sister climbing on Daddy and now as soon as Mr MoaB sits on the floor, he's there jumping on him and then he's being squashed by both of them. I love watching them and hearing their laughter together.

When they're not behaving I sometimes feel like sending these two off to the circus but unfortunately I'm just not sure they've got the skills yet!!

We're settling in to the new routine and I'm starting to get used to just having one little person to take out to (and keep an eye on) playgroups etc. So far the signs are good that Miss A being at school each day isn't affecting their relationship. They've been so used to spending most of their time together. I love that as soon as Miss A sees Master R after school the first thing she does is give him a kiss and a cuddle. I hope that affection continues for a very long time.

  1. Lovely photos from your summer and Miss A looks very happy about starting school. Hope she is enjoying it. My youngest loves that she gets to play with all the toys when her sister is at school - it does make it a challenge sometimes when she has to share again once Jessica comes home though! #siblingsproject

  2. What lovely summery adventures you are sharing here. Making me have the holiday blues I miss the sunshine so much but soon it will be xmas to look forward too. They look and sound like they have a lot of fun together. #siblingsproject

  3. Ah love the uniform shot! They always look so grown up yet so small don't they? #siblingsproject
