Me & Mine - April 2016

Tuesday, 3 May 2016

Joining up for with the Me and Mine Family Portrait Project with these photos of our little family for April. Our last as a family of three as baby number 2 is due in a few days!

It was taken on a family walk at Dancersend to see the bluebells in bloom. Haven't quite got the hang of the selfie stick but I still love it.

Thought I should also include a picture of bump as this little girl or boy will be in the photos in person next month!

April Highs:
  • - Little Miss A and I re-visited the National Trust property Cliveden with one of my best friends and her 2 children (one of which is my god-daughter). They travelled all the way up from Worthing and it was so good to see them. Despite the age difference between her kids and Little Miss A, they had such a fun day together.
  • - We travelled up North to visit Mr MoaB's family for a few days. It was lovely to catch-up with them all. The next time we see them will be when we have a new baby to meet them.
  • - I had a wish that before baby came I wanted to spend a child-free night away somewhere with Mr MoaB. With time running out, we managed to have a fantastic date night and hotel stay in Liverpool and Little Miss A loved her first sleepover which she spent at her cousins.
  • - We spent a sunny but very windy day out in Southport with some of Mr MoaB's family. Little Miss A loved getting to spend lots more time with her cousins.
  • - We came across a newly opened play centre in Liverpool - Mattel Play! - and managed to visit with Little Miss A on the Sunday morning before we left to travel home.
  • - I took Little Miss A along to two free events in Aylesbury to celebrate St George's Day. One at the library where Little Miss A got to dress up as St George and re-enact the story. The other in the town with lots of fun themed activities that Little Miss A enjoyed.
  • - Little Miss A started a new gym class and loves it. We have had to put her swimming lessons on hold as I can't get in the pool with her for a while, so we decided to try gym classes instead and she really is enjoying them.
  • - I took Little Miss A to Green Dragon Eco Farm again this month as we had another Groupon voucher that was about to expire. We hardly spent any time with the animals, it was all about the soft play, outdoor playground and bouncy pillow!
  • - I finished work to go on maternity leave. On my last day, I went for a nice lunch with my team at the The Works in Aylesbury and got a lovely present. I've only been there 6 months but I've really enjoyed it and everyone in the team has been so nice and supportive.
April Lows:
  • - Baby is still being monitored as it's on the small side. This currently means that I'll have to have consultant-led care and may have to be induced. Not quite what we had planned but we'll just have to see what happens in the next few days!
  • - I'm so behind with writing blog posts. There are just so many in drafts that I don't know where to start. I do all of my blog writing in the evenings but for the last few weeks I've just not turned my computer on to write, but just tried to relax and unwind as I've been shattered. Hopefully I will catch-up with myself at some point!
