I have compiled a list of the activities and events going on in and around Aylesbury during the Easter school holidays.


Breakfast and Tea with the Easter Bunny
Monday 14th March - Monday 28th March
The Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance and hosting a very special breakfast or tea. There will be an Easter cookie to decorate, an Easter Bunny egg hunt, mini chocolate eggs as a treat and your very own cuddly toy.
Place: Wyevale Garden Centres: World's End - Wendover, Tring, Bicester Avenue, Woburn Sands

The Gruffalo Experience at thecentre:mk
Saturday 19th March - Sunday 10th April
Embark on a fun and interactive journey into the deep dark wood to meet the Gruffalo and other characters from the world famous children's picture book.

Cost: £7.95 per person for children and adults (transaction fee applies). Under 2s are free of charge.
My parents paid for us all to go to The Gruffalo Experience in Milton Keynes and I would highly recommend it for Gruffalo fans!

An Eggcellent Treat at Frosts Garden Centres
Saturday 19th March and Sunday 20th March
The activity starts with a bunny hunt around the garden centre followed by some Eggcellent fun! Children can get creative by decorating their very own chocolate Easter egg with a selection of yummy sweeties, perfect to take home for an Easter treat. Children will finish the activity by decorating their own Easter magnet followed by a glass of squash. Book tickets online.

Easter Open Day at Abbotts View Farm
Friday 25th March
There will be Easter Crafts, an Easter Egg Hunt and needle felting demos. You are welcome to bring a picnic and there will be refreshments available to purchase. No need to book.

Good Friday Stay and Play with Woodland Folk
Friday 25th March
Come and play with your little ones both indoors and outdoors with a range of activities including Easter Egg Hunt. All ages welcome, under 1's free, target age approximately 2-11 years.

Day Out With Thomas at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre
Friday 25th - Monday 28th March
Meet Thomas the Tank Engine™ and his friends, who are waiting to meet you at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre. Experience a ride on a real steam engine, meet the Fat Controller, take part in Thomas themed activities, and more...

Cadbury Easter Egg Trail
Friday 25th - Monday 28th March
Become a detective as you follow the Easter trail around the gardens. All successful detectives will receive a Cadbury chocolate prize.
Place: National Trust places: Ashridge Estate, Boarstall Duck Decoy, Claydon House, Cliveden, Dunstable Downs, Hughenden Manor, Stowe Gardens, Waddesdon Manor

Easter Specials on the Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway
Friday 25th - Monday 28th March
Come and see the Easter Bunny on our four days of steam-hauled specials. Our stewards will be serving Hot Cross Buns to adults and chocolate treats to children during the journey. Everyone can have fun with our Easter Chick Hunt on the station and why not wear your traditional Easter Bonnet for the chance to win an additional prize too?

Easter Fun and a Tasty Egg Hunt at Milton Keynes Museum
Friday 25th - Monday 28th March
Throughout Easter we’ve got yummy prizes for observant youngsters. Find the hidden eggs and win a delicious prize. Plus there's all the usual demonstrations, displays and dozens of fun things to do!

Easter Trail at Black Park Country Park
Friday 25th March - Friday 1st April
Follow the self-led trail through Black Park and see if you can help the Easter Bunny find her missing eggs. If you find them, you’ll get a chocolatey surprise!

“Whose egg is this?” Trail at Rushmere Country Park
Friday 25th March - Sunday 10th April
Pick up a Trail sheet at the Visitor Centre and go on a wander through the Country Park.

This park is one of our favourite places to visit. The last time we were there we went on a Fairy Trail at Rushmere Country Park.

Easter Lambing at Orchard View Farm
Friday 25th March - Sunday 10th April (closed Mondays)
Meet the lambs, biscuit decorating, Easter egg hunt and much more! All at the farm, butchers, cafe and farm shop.

Easter Bunny Bonanza at Mead Open Farm
Friday 25th March - Sunday 10th April
For a fantastic Easter day out with the family come and explore Hoppy the Easter Bunny’s wonderful themed Easter Garden. Plus, every day, you can earn a chocolate treat by hunting for eggs and even meet Real Easter Chicks and lambs!

SpongeBob SquarePants fun at intu Milton Keynes

This Easter intu Milton Keynes has teamed up with SpongeBob SquarePants to bring you a week filled with workshops, fun and games! You can event meet SpongeBob on Saturday 2nd April! There's something on everyday, see website for details.

Easter Family Fun at Odds Farm Park
Friday 25th March - Sunday 10th April
Follow the Easter Trail around the farm and get a Yummy Treat.  Plus, with plenty of cute Lambs to Bottle Feed and meet, the return of Tractor & Trailer Rides (weather permitting) and fun in the Giant Indoor Playbarn, there’s so much to do.

Fairytale Princesses & Noble Knights at GObowling in Dunstable
Friday 25th March - Monday 11th April
Experience fun bowling games for every Noble Knight and Princess and meet lots of Disney characters for hugs and smiles. Glow in dark bowling from 10am-5pm every day. Plus face painting and Mickey & Minnie’s restaurant showing Disney films every day.

Follow the Fairytrail at Tring Park
Saturday 26th March - Friday 15th April
Join Blue and Belle, the woodland fairies, on an adventure to save the precious bluebell woods from Big Old Foot the clumsy giant. Take the whole family out this spring and discover a magical world.

Easter Party with Em's Looney Tune Discos
Saturday 26th March
Em's Looney Tune Discos are hosting a kids Easter party at Aeglesburgh Watermead Inn. Easter egg hunt, free snacks & drink included. Parents enjoy a refreshment from the bar and a hot crossed bun whilst your kids are kept entertained!

Easter Crafts at Aylesbury Library
Saturday 26th March
Bring the children along for a great free Easter craft activity, colouring and fun. Suitable for 11 years and under. No booking required, just turn up on the day.

That's Not My Egg Gallery Trail at the Natural History Museum at Tring
Saturday 26th March - Sunday 17th April
Explore the galleries to help kiwi find her lost egg to win a chocolatey prize. Suitable for all ages.

Easter Competition at Buckingham Old Gaol

The competition will take place around the museum. Tickets from the museum shop.

Easter Egg Event at Rushmere Country Park
Sunday 27th March
Go to the Visitor Centre to take part in this event.

This park is one of our favourite places to visit. The last time we were there we went on a Fairy Trail at Rushmere Country Park.

Easter Egg Festival at Chenies Manor House
Monday 28th March
This is the first afternoon the House & Gardens are open for the season. In 1285, during the visit to Chenies of Edward I, the earliest occurrence is recorded of eggs being cooked and given to the villagers to celebrate Easter. Following this tradition, there will be egg & spoon races, sack races and Easter egg spotting throughout the house.

Easter Crafts Session at Buckingham Library
Tuesday 29th March
Join us for fun Springtime crafts. Suitable for: 3-9 years. Advance booking required.

Bugs and Beasts at Black Park Country Park
Tuesday 29th March
Hunt for creepy crawlies in Black Park using a mini-beast kit with the help of the Country Park Rangers and learn about the bugs and beasts you find!

Build a Lamb Toy at Frosts Garden Centre Woburn Sands
Tuesday 29th March - Friday 1st April
Children can create their very own cuddly lamb. Each lamb comes with their very own birth certificate and take home carry bag. All followed by party games and dancing fun. Each child will receive a yummy chocolate treat and a glass of squash. Book tickets online.

Two weeks of crafty fun for all the family - a different activity each day. Plus, an Easter Egg Hunt in the Museum. No need to book, just drop-in.

Join Jacqui as Alice with Beatrice The Easter Bunny on a springtime journey through the magical, musical, Rainbow Forest of Wonderland! Singing seasonal songs and encountering lots of animal friends as we go down the rabbit hole! Includes little treat from the Easter Bunny. All ages welcome. Meet Ben Elf and Princess Holly at Friars Square Shopping Centre
Wednesday 30th March
Ben Elf and Princess Holly from Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom will be making an appearance at the shopping centre.

Spring Woodland Play at Black Park Country Park
Wednesday 30th March
Join the Rangers for an hour of woodland fun and games in Black Pines Camp. Don’t wear your best clothes, you may get muddy! Book in advance. Suitable for 4 to 10 years (parents must supervise).

Steaming Days at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre

A full size engine will be in steam offering unlimited free train rides. Train rides can also be taken on our miniature railway for a small charge.

NCT Easter Bunny Hunt
Monday 4th April
Fun in the park during the Easter school holidays with a Bunny Hunt.

Cost: £1.50 per participating child. Chocolate egg for everyone plus entry into prize draw. In aid of the NCT Charity.

Tring Park Egg Hunt
Monday 4th April
Search the park for clues to help find the hidden eggs. Most suitable for for ages 5+. Advance booking required.
Place: Natural History Museum at Tring, Akeman Street, Tring HP23 6AP
Time: 1.5-hour activities at 10.30am and 2.30pm
Cost: Free

Springtime Fun at Frosts Garden Centre Woburn Sands
Monday 4th April - Friday 8th April
Join us for some springtime fun! Children can each decorate their very own ceramic egg cup perfect to hold their yummy eggs for breakfast. Then they can create a daffodil windmill and a wooden flower magnet. All followed by a chocolate treat and a glass of squash. Book tickets online.

Den Building at Black Park Country Park

Dinosaur Zoo at the Wycombe Swan
Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th April
Back by popular demand, Dinosaur Zoo returns to High Wycombe, now introducing the Tyrannosaurus Rex to the stage. From cute baby dinos to teethgnashing giants, marvel and interact with extraordinary life-like dinosaurs in this imaginative and hilarious live show. Suitable for ages 3+.

Dinosaur Day at Friars Square Shopping Centre
Wednesday 6th April

Easter Eggstravaganza at College Lake
Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th April
Join us at College Lake and celebrate spring! Family activities include trails, tales, arts and crafts. Enjoy exploring outdoors and see what wildlife has been about over Easter. Booking essential. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Place: College Lake Nature Reserve, Tring HP23 5QG

Cost: £4 per child (accompanying adult free)

Spring Thursday - #AylesburyThursdays Event
Thursday 7th April
Organised by Aylesbury Vale District Council, #AylesburyThursdays returns in the Easter school holidays with another free event.

Everyday (ongoing)
Join Stick Man on his forest adventure at Wendover Woods. Set off with a hop and a twirl and help get Stick Man get back to the family tree!!

It's worth checking the National Trust website for details of the school holiday activities going on at each of their properties.

I've compiled these events from various websites, Facebook etc. Please check with the actual organisers/venue for up-to-date information.
