Lighthouse Toddler Group 25th Anniversary

Saturday, 2 May 2015

We have become regulars of the Lighthouse Toddler Group on Thursday mornings at the Holy Trinity Church in Aylesbury.

This weekend they are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of this playgroup. Amazing that it's been going so long. Hundreds of children have enjoyed this group over that time.

Part of their celebrations included a Family Fun Afternoon today so I took Little Miss A along and she had a great time.

Our first port of call was Walton Hall where there were lots of games to try. Little Miss A was surprisingly good at the Roll a Coin!

In the Church, there were a whole variety of crafts. We had a go at a few of these including a Tiger mask, a bird and a colourful shaker.

Little Miss A also had her face painted with a pretty flower design. I wasn't sure whether she would sit still for long enough but she didn't move a muscle!

Her favourite activity of the day was definitely the Hook a Duck. She kept coming back to this one (there was just a 'bit' of help needed from Mummy to actually hook one!).

There was an amazing cake in the Foyer which Little Miss A kept stopping by everytime we passed. I was a little concerned she'd knock it over but thankfully no mishaps!

Unfortunately we had to leave before the cake cutting as I'm sure Little Miss A would have loved a piece. There was going to be a hog roast later on in the proceedings too which we missed (shame!).

We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and were so glad to be able to share in the celebrations.

Thankyou to all the volunteers who were involved in the afternoon celebrations and also those that make this Playgroup such fun week upon week.

Happy 25th Anniversary Lighthouse!
