Re-visiting the Whipsnade Tree Cathedral in Spring

Wednesday, 7 May 2014

Back in January we went on a fantastic circular walk and discovered the Whipsnade Tree Cathedral. We promised ourselves that we would re-visit the Tree Cathedral during each season of the year. So today was time to visit it in Spring.

The Tree Cathedral is so beautiful and peaceful. The sun was shining through the trees, the birds were singing, there was pretty blossom and spring flowers. Really love this place.

Once we'd taken a wander around the Cathedral we set-off on the same walk that we did back in January.  If you missed it, here is the blog post from that walk.

We didn't have the walk directions with us this time but between us we remembered the route. We paused for a quick pit-stop at the Chilterns Gateway Centre to give Baby A her lunch. So it cost us £1.70 today for a coffee for my partner.

The weather was on our side for most of the walk. There was a really heavy shower whilst we were in the Centre and then we got caught in a short sharp shower as we set back out. Not sure Baby A was that impressed with the rain but she'll have to get used to it - we live in the UK after all!

Despite having done this walk twice now, my partner and I have said that we'd happily to do it again. There really is a bit of everything - woods, fields, wildlife, great views. Can't recommend this walk enough.
